happy belated, ash trash

this is asher.

asher is my best and only nephew. he turned 3 this month, and i felt that he needed an extra shout out. 3 is a hard year. am i right? the kid loves his baseball hats, fruit snacks, space guys, and katie's cookies in her cabinet. he's half a country away, but thank goodness for skype so i can talk to him while he looks like this
.

i am pretty sure this is one of grandma's life vests we would use on our canoe rides on the tennessee river. those life jackets have one of the most distinct smells of my life. i really did love that canoe, and i loved that dock, and we probably tried paddling to one specific "island" a dozen times. one summer germs and i almost got there, but then i made us turn around cause i had to go to the bathroom. yeah, that's true. true and lame of me.  but don't worry! we made good use of the canoe in our feature film "jaws 4!" starring every sibling, duke, sue, etc. great cinematography from my mother. it took a full 2 weeks to complete it. good things come from movies like that, like looking back and realizing it was a good thing you didn't run away from your dead end street in missouri with exactly 1 apple and a package of saltine crackers to become an actress at the age of 9. anyways, i love the kid. i like the vest. and i'd love to star in one of his movies on day when he's older.

today i am 12

there have been a lot of great valentine's days in recent years. 05-ate bloody looking chinese with our hometeachers, 06-took the freshmen dorms' lobby dance by storm followed by some good ol' fashioned ding-dong ditching, 07-phat party #3 in the colony with one large pazookie, and many pazookies in the years to follow.

but TODAY, feb 14 2011, i was taken on an emotional roller coaster. a roller coaster by the name of  "Never Say Never," with one justin bieber. let's face it, liking justin bieber is a joke. but the thing is, it's not. today it is especially not. honestly and truly i loved it. i can't even explainnn why. and that's the truth.

 "Never Say Never" movie highlights:
1.back up dancers that look like boyz 2 men, oh NOPE. that's definitely boyz to men-sean, nathan, and wanya- backing up jb. way to go, guys.
2.everything every 12 year old girl said. "i'm gonna marry justin bieber. i really am. he's going to be my husband. and i'm going to be his wife." or "i think about him 99% of my life." <-- this can in no possible way be healthy, but don't we all?
3.surprise appearance from snoop dogg.snoop thinks justin is a good kid, but should change his hair and get some "pig tails with some nice accessories on the ends."
4.jaden (kung fu expert) smith's appearance and hair
5.some seriously unexpectedly touching parts.....what?! is never say never gonna make me tear up?
6.just when you think the movie's over, big brother luda takes the stage. i love it when he gives advice on love. he knows his stuff!

happy valentine's, justin. happy valentine's to all.

batmobile, phatmobile

this is not my car. but i wish it was. mom gave me a batmobile for Christmas one year. when you pulled the tiny stick shift, yellow bullets sprung of the headlights and knocked the joker, and  i think that would come in handy these days. i'd like to cruise around in this with my boyfriend, robin.
this is also not my car (but who is this guy, right?! what a great blazer, and the way his hair swooshes makes me proud.) i think it'd be nice to take a spin with gramps, doc, and marty on any given sunday afternoon.
