Welcome Back

truth is, i forgot this blog even existed. i am at the hospital (for work, not for hospitalization) and the patients are all peacefully sleeping. i refuse to study for the gre at these hours or do anything productive. because it is 2:30 am and because i feel a duty to the 4 religious followers of this blog, 3 of who i actually know, and because i need something to keep me awake, i am here.

one of the pharmacists brought up homemade bread a while ago. can you believe that? homemade bread that he made in the pharmacy. it could be laced with any number of things...but it tasted good, and smelled even better. i love homemade bread like asher loves his eggnog. nurses have been eating it, and now all that remains is a nasty cold heel on a paper plate. i normally prefer the heels, but everything about food changes in this place. my once fond feelings for eggs are changed forever. i won't go into any sort of details why, but they're changed and are not changing back.

it's late, but i just want to say that i feel pretty good right now. christmas day may have passed, but i unexpectedly have sensed its magic lingering tonight. it may have something to do with home alone 2 playing on abc family or the falling snow that i can only see as it floats under a parking lot light post. it may have something to do with a piece of homemade bread, or it may just be i'm not ready to see the christmas season pass. whatever it may be, merry christmas to all. maybe i can find a little macaulay culkin or a little eggnog mustache tomorrow to prolong the season.

  1. We watched Home Alone on Christmas Eve/Christmas. I bet you could talk us into some Home Alone 2 if you wanted. . . . . . . . .

    Just sayin. Merry Christmas
